CONVOCATORIA PARA FINANCIAMIENTO COMUNICADORES A LA COP 23 EN BONN

La presente tiene como finalidad poner en su conocimiento la convocatoria de Climate Tracker para financiar la participación de periodistas y comunicadores en la COP23 en Bonn. Esta convocatoria está abierta para todos los países:

El Climate Tracker invita a periodistas y comunicadores a unirse a su campaña «Sobrevivir y prosperar a 1.5ºC» y ganar una beca totalmente financiada para las negociaciones climáticas de COP23 en Bonn este noviembre! También otorgará una beca semi-financiada y varias becas en línea para mejorar sus habilidades de escritura.

La campaña «Sobrevivir y prosperar 1,5ºC» tiene como objetivo sensibilizar a todo el mundo sobre la importancia de mantener la temperatura global por debajo de este umbral y los múltiples beneficios que esto traería.

1.5ºC es el aumento de temperatura que debemos permanecer abajo si queremos salvar nuestro planeta. Esto es crítico para muchas naciones alrededor del mundo para proteger los glaciares, los arrecifes, evitar el aumento del nivel del mar o el calor extremo. Esta es la razón por la que Climate Tracker está iniciando una campaña para apoyar la acción climática ambiciosa y coherente en línea con el objetivo de 1,5.

Los mejores escritores tendrán la oportunidad de asistir a la COP23 Bonn en noviembre de 2017 con el equipo de Climate Tracker. Los postulantes recibirán capacitación sobre clima y periodismo, llegarán a las negociaciones internacionales sobre el clima y conocerán gente increíble de todas partes del mundo.

Temas

Primer tiempo de publicación (del 10 al 28 de abril): Explique por qué es importante que el país del solicitante se mantenga por debajo del límite de 1,5ºC con impactos concretos

Segundo tiempo de publicación (del 1 al 19 de mayo): Explique las soluciones que el gobierno solicitante necesita para hacer cumplir (NDC, política nacional …) y por qué es beneficioso tomar medidas

Criterio de elegibilidad

Todos los países son elegibles.

Los solicitantes que tienen entre 18 y 30 años de edad, pero los solicitantes se les anima a aplicar de todos modos si no cumplen este requisito.

Cómo aplicar

Entre el 10 de abril y el 19 de mayo los solicitantes tienen que escribir dos artículos sobre dos temas específicos. Entonces los solicitantes tienen que publicarlos en los medios de comunicación en su país o región. Puede ser un periódico, una revista, un sitio de noticias en línea, etc. Una vez que se publica un artículo, los solicitantes tienen que enviar el enlace a través del siguiente sitio web:

I have the pleasure to address you and to put in your knowledge the Call of Climate Tracker to finance the participation of journalists and communicators for the COP23 in Bonn. This call is open to every country:

The Climate Tracker is inviting journalists and communicators to join its “1.5ºC Survive and Thrive” campaign and win a fully funded fellowship to the COP23 climate negotiations in Bonn this November! It will also be awarding a semi-funded fellowship and several online fellowships to improve your writing skills.

The “1.5ºC Survive and Thrive” campaign aims to raise awareness around the world about the importance of keeping global temperature below this threshold and the multiple benefits that this would bring.

1.5ºC is the temperature increase we must stay below if we want to save our planet. This is critical for many nations around the world to protect glaciers, reefs, avoid sea level rise or extreme heat. This is why Climate Tracker is starting a campaign to support ambitious and consistent climate action in line with the 1.5 goal.

The best writers will get a chance to attend COP23 Bonn in November 2017 with the Climate Tracker team. There applicants will receive training on climate and journalism, get to attend the international climate negotiations and meet amazing people from everywhere in the world!

Topics

First publishing time (10th-28th April): Explain why is important for applicant’s country to stay below the 1.5ºC limit with concrete impacts

Second publishing time (1st-19th May): Explain the solutions that applicant’s government needs to enforce (NDCs, national policy…) and why taking action is beneficial

Eligibility Criteria

All Countries are eligible.

Applicants that are between 18 and 30 years old, but applicants are encouraged to apply anyway if they do not fulfill this requirement.

How to Apply

Between the 10th of April and the 19th of May applicants have to write two articles about two specific topics. Then applicants have to publish them in media in their country or region.
